Sam is a Partner in the Healthcare Practice at PwC and is based out of the San Jose, CA office. He has over 20 years of experience delivering value-driven solutions related to IT, Quality Systems, regulatory compliance, and supply chain activities across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device industries.
Prior to joining PwC, Sam worked as part of a start-up software company focused on helping life science companies improve their overall development efforts. Focused on helping companies better track their development efforts to assist with regulatory filings, the company was eventually sold to Oracle.
Since he joined PRTM, Sam has been involved with a number of projects ranging from Quality Systems planning and remediation to IT system (e.g. LIMS, ERP) implementations. Also, as part of his current efforts, he is leading a major initiative with the FDA to help understand how it can better improve its own Quality Systems. Sam is also working with a group of biopharmaceutical manufacturers to identify and then communicate potential improvements to various ICH guidelines.
Sam is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a BS Degree in Microbiology. He has also earned an MBA from Santa Clara University with a concentration in Finance and International Business. Sam is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS.
