2025 Drug Shortage Guardian Award Honors Federal Heroes Who Saved Lives During IV Fluid Crisis
Agencies recognized by patient advocacy organization, Angels for Change, for swift action and lifesaving logistics following hurricanes Helene and Milton.
Angels for Change (A4C) announces the pilot launch of Project GOLD (Generic Oncology Lifesaving Drugs), a new resiliency program that establishes an onshore buffer supply of six essential medications that are used to treat cancer. Project GOLD was created to offer physicians and patients stability of care during a shortage through emergency supply at leading distributors and manufacturers. A4C is participating with founding pilot members, pharmaceutical wholesalers Cencora and McKesson, and pharmaceutical and medtech manufacturer Fresenius Kabi.

Lindsey was recognized for her exceptional leadership, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to patient care, particularly in addressing the critical chemotherapy drug shortages during 2023 and 2024.
Angels for Change hosted their fifth SummitONE Thursday, July 12th at the AmerisourceBergen, now Cencora, headquarters in Conshohocken, PA. This was the second in person SummitONE following the success from the 2022 summit hosted at the McKesson Corporation headquarters in Irving, TX.
Angels for Change’s (A4C) Chief Change Maker and Founder, Laura Bray, was invited to the White House for a roundtable on the current national pediatric and adult cancer drug shortage crisis. Bray was called on as one of the country’s top healthcare leaders to share her expertise, patient impact stories, and practical solutions to build a more resilient supply chain for all patients. Alongside Bray, were many of A4C’s Advisory Board members and End Drug Shortage Alliance (EDSA) leaders.
On July 11th, Chief Change Maker, Laura Bray was presented with the 2023 Hermes Creative Platinum Award by Mittal Sutaria, Senior Vice President, Contract and Program Services, Pharmacy for Vizient, for her interview on the VerifiedRX podcast titled, "No Patient Left Behind: the race to end drug shortages".
