Angels for Change Brings Pharmaceutical Leaders Together at SummitONE 2026 to Advance a More Resilient Drug Supply Chain
Hosted at Pfizer, the annual summit convenes industry, healthcare, government, and patient leaders to strengthen collaboration and support patient access to lifesaving medicines.
NEW YORK, N.Y. — July 29, 2026 — Angels for Change (A4C) successfully concluded its sold out SummitONE 2026, its annual healthcare summit focused on strengthening pharmaceutical supply chain resilience, at Pfizer's headquarters in New York City. The two-day event brought together executives and experts from across the pharmaceutical ecosystem; including manufacturers, distributors, healthcare systems, regulators, policymakers, and patient advocates. SummitONE advances collaboration and actionable solutions to strengthen access to medicines and end drug shortages.
With the theme Elevate, this year's Summit challenged attendees to move beyond identifying vulnerabilities and toward measurable steps that build a stronger, more resilient medicine supply chain.
Throughout the event, participants explored topics including measuring resilience, building buffer supply and capacity, the root causes of shortages, the current state of the supply chain, opportunities to advance policy action, and strengthening preparedness before shortages occur. Interactive workshops, executive panels, and patient stories reinforced a common message: solving drug shortages requires every stakeholder working together with patients at the center.

The summit opened with a Keynote Address from Tanya Alcorn, President, Pfizer Global Hospital & Biosimilars followed by an executive discussion featuring leaders from Pfizer, Cencora, McKesson, and Fresenius Kabi USA. Both segments highlighted how cross-sector collaboration and investment is transforming resilience from an aspiration into measurable action.
One of the defining moments of SummitONE was its patient spotlight sessions, where patients and healthcare providers shared powerful stories from the front lines of drug shortages. These conversations remind every member of the healthcare ecosystem why this work matters, while giving patients the opportunity to see firsthand the commitment manufacturers, distributors, providers, policymakers, and advocates share in supporting patient care. Those moments create ripples of change that extend far beyond the stage, influencing the relationships, decisions, and collaborations that shape a more resilient pharmaceutical supply chain. A particularly moving highlight was Shortage Warrior, composer, and violinist Brannon Warn-Johnston, whose performance of A Year with Cancer captivated a breathless audience and concluded with a standing ovation.
Additional sessions featured leaders from hospitals, government agencies, supply chain organizations, research institutions, and patient advocacy groups working together to identify practical strategies for strengthening the nation's medicine supply.

A hallmark of this year's Summit was a collaborative resilience workshop facilitated by PwC, where participants worked together to define the key measures needed to evaluate and improve pharmaceutical supply chain resilience. The resulting recommendations will help inform future industry collaboration and policy discussions.
Rather than marking an ending, the annual SummitONE Baton Pass symbolizes that this work continues. As Pfizer passed the baton to Fresenius Kabi USA, host of SummitONE 2027, the tradition reinforces that building a resilient pharmaceutical supply chain is a shared journey, with each organization carrying the momentum forward and contributing to the next stage of progress on behalf of patients.
