A4C Statement Featured in Congressional Hearing

Angels for Change Statement Included in Congressional Hearing on Strengthening the U.S. Health Care Supply Chain

Last month, the House Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee held a critical hearing titled:

“Made in America: Strengthening Domestic Manufacturing and Our Health Care Supply Chain.”

Angels for Change submitted a formal statement for the record—bringing the voice of the patient directly to policymakers as they examined ways to strengthen pharmaceutical manufacturing and address persistent vulnerabilities in the drug supply chain.

We extend our sincere thanks to Subcommittee Chair Rep. Buddy Carter and Ranking Member Rep. Diana DeGette for not only allowing our statement to be part of the official hearing record, but also for affirming the importance of centering patient experiences in national policy discussions.

Too often, the voices of those most affected by drug shortages—patients and their families—are absent from high-level conversations. But thanks to the leadership of this Subcommittee, that is changing.

Our statement emphasized that:

  • Drug shortages are a solvable crisis and economics are the root cause

  • Resiliency, transparency, and collaboration are key to preventing future supply disruptions.

  • Patient Care must be at the center of the solutions.

At Angels for Change, we will continue to advocate for a stronger, more resilient supply chain that puts patients first—always.
